Sculpey HIV

HELL. YES.

This is a Christmas present for Anna, which I am very proud of. Oh my god. This is her character, HIV (Head Invading Voice), and he was freaking difficult to figure out. His hair is normally very fluffy and abstract-looking, kind of like oldBreven's hair was or NeverBe's is - which is freaking hell to imitate in clay form, but I think the little coils did just fine. I'm amazed it turned out so well.

He's got a skeleton made of tin foil underneath all of him, except for his hair, his "tentacles" (they're supposed to be smokey wisps, but I can't really do that with clay), and his fingers. His smile glows in the dark.

The kind of sculpey I used this time was Super Sculpey, at the suggestion of =jenny-jen. It's incredibly strong, which was probably very convenient for this project, but oh my god was it ever hard to mold! My fingers were killing me during the initial sculpey-coating of the skeleton, because I was trying to make everything look nice and smooth with my index finger, but god, it's so strong that it was resisting me. I regretted not using regular sculpey in the beginning, but in the end as I was doing his fingers and hair and smoke wisps, I'm kind of glad, because otherwise they would have drooped all over the place. The bottom picture is HIV in relation to the Breven and Flave sculpies. He came out relatively the same size as Breven, except for Breven is enormous and bulky because he's pure sculpey and no tin foil. The Flave sculpey was made for me by my friend Ruby, who's ~Ruby-Shadow on DA. I do so love the Flavey sculpey. 83
